A delightful Sunday lunch at the Château de La Chèvre d’Or with Club Vivanova

Last Sunday, it was with a great pleasure that I attended Club Vivanova event at the sensational 5-star hotel Château de La Chèvre d’Or. Overlooking the Mediterranean Sea, Château de La Chèvre d’Or in Èze-village is one of the most stunning place to have lunch or dinner on the French Riviera.

Club Vivanova and the Château de La Chèvre d’Or joined forces to create a great event where professionals and international entrepreneurs as well as artists and epicureans gathered for a unique gourmet experience.

My Sunday started with a Champagne aperitif on the beautiful terrace of the Château. We then entered the Eden restaurant for a three-course gourmet lunch including a delicious brocoletti soup with ricotta and candied lemon appetizer and one of my favourite (normal as I’m French!) a tasty foie gras topped up with mango and passion fruit. As I love fish, I was delighted to be served a fresh and perfectly cooked sea bass roasted with fennel, artichokes, juice with rosemary. The vegetables were really good and brought something special to the fish. It was then time for desert and who would refuse a chocolate ‘Grand Cru’? Well, not me! The lunch was complemented with Club Vivanova premium New Zealand Sliding Hill wines and Svalbardi Water.

During lunch, Club Vivanova Founder Bradley Mitton introduced us to clothing brand 209 Mare Men’s Luxury Beachwear and sculptor David Begbie who had his art pieces exhibited in the ‘Petit Jardin’ of the Chèvre d’Or.

The pictures speak by themselves, La Chèvre d’Or has a view that cannot be beat. If you’re visiting our beautiful French Riviera, make sure to stop and – at least – have a cocktail. The mixologists will create something special for you if you can’t choose one of their a la carte cocktails. I can promise you will get a great shot with your glass raised in the sea-view background!
