Watch out! Konstantin Chaykin’s Joker!

I saw a lot of amazing watches in Baselworld, but only one like this.

Based in Moscow, Konstantin Chaykin is the only Russian member and President of the Horological Academy of Independent Creators (Académie Horlogère des Créateurs Indépendants) and is already famous for his creative timepieces such as the Lunokhod and Cinema.

With its Joker watch, Konstantin Chaykin created a new intriguing masterpiece paying tribute to the famed Batman villain of the same name. As well as being a beautiful display of fine watchmaking, the funniest watch on the market is probably also the most unique and subtle one.

This joker face that’s on my …

Twist your time with the new Bulgari Septentini

From the multiple brands I have had the chance to visit in Baselworld, the Bulgari was certainly one of the most amazing. It was not just a stand but a real house with a fascinating watch environment.

Amongst the many stunning pieces, one of them attracted me more than the others – even though they were all stunning – the Serpenti.

With the launch of this new Serpenti collection, Bulgari shows its capacity to reinvent itself, just as the finest love stories. As a symbol of eternal regeneration, the Serpenti, Bulgari’s iconic mascot since the 1940s, takes the turn of the customisation trend with double …

Bell & Ross goes pink for women

During my recent visit to Bell & Ross in Baselworld, Marketing Director Antonin van Niel proposed me an amazing private presentation of the new “Novarosa” women’s watch collection.

The name that Bell & Ross chose for this watch can be undestood as “nova” for supernova, stars that become very bright just before they die; and “rosa” stands for the most feminine colour as well as the colour of a supernova’ stardust after it explodes. The brand chose this colour for the dial of its new watch trio collection and added a beautiful summery light.

The 3 different versions of the watch provide a quartz movement …

Messika celebrates 12 years of brilliant success

Messika is one of my favorite jewelers. Truly feminine and contemporary, the brand proposes jewels that can be worn anytime, either on a daily basis or on important occasions and that’s something that is really important to me. So when I was proposed to discover privately some of their most iconic pieces, I could only say ‘yes’.

Since the launch of her brand in 2005, Messika’s Founder, Valérie Messika, works closely with her father André Messika, who is an expert in diamond dealing, as well as with her brother Ilan, who is in charge of researching the best possible diamonds. It’s a family affair! Together, …

Nomos Glashütte: summer around your wrist

One of the many different brands to watch this year is definitely Nomos Glashütte. The first thing to know about it is that it does not market its watches to either gender. Their relatively small size is meant both for women and for men which is very cool and trendy those days. Known primarily for their minimalist designs, Nomos provides a high-quality, stylish mechanical watch at a very reasonable price.

What I particularly like about Nomos is their beautiful and easy-to-read dial based on a coloured background which for some of the watches shines in the dark, making it even brighter.

As I really enjoyed spending trying …

Because size matters!

After a short visit at the world’s biggest watch event Baselworld being amazed by lots of watch masterpieces, I came back with a few favourite ones. I will tell you all about it through several posts but I’d like to start with a BIG high five to Corum. The Swiss brand clearly differentiates itself from the competition not only by the design of its watches but also by their spirit. The oversized Bubble watch is the best proof you can get of that. Why that? Because no matter what people say, size counts!

I had the chance to be privately presented a special selection of …

JustUnlimited Brings Dinner in the Sky to Monte-Carlo

Monaco offers the opportunity to live some fantastic experiences, including original gastronomic ones. A few weeks ago, I have heard a fantastic news: Dinner in the Sky is coming to Monte-Carlo and I am over-excited about it!

If you have not heard about Dinner in the Sky (which would be astonishing), this concept was born in Bruxelles in 2006 and expanded everywhere in the world. The concept is as simple as crazy: you seat around a big table with 21 other guests and a nacelle lifts you us to 50 metres high for a memorable gastronomic experience in the air. Believe me if you can, …

Restaurant spotting: Les Sens, Nice

I have found at Les Sens everything I like when going to a restaurant in the evening.

First, the cozy atmosphere. True fact, as a Parisian, I always appreciate this little something different that instantly make you feel at home. Les Sens is 100% this kind of place; chic but comfortable. The owner created a cool and trendy decoration with dim lights, a long wooden bar and a vintage mirror. On top of that, the staff is smiley, helpful and professional.

As for the cuisine, Cyrille Billa will make you discover a delicious cuisine.

I really liked the 37,5 € “menu du moment” (starter, main …
