Make-up by Chanel Nice

What a dream come true to work with Chanel! A few weeks ago, I have had the chance to get a professional make-up at Chanel’s new shop in Nice.

Entering the shop was already very exciting. From make-up, perfumes, sunglasses and more, everything a girl could dream of was there.

The artist who welcomed me had a chic and natural make-up on. She took my coat and sat me in front of a mirror with lights all around, like we see in movies. She asked me what I liked in terms of look and 2 minutes after, she took all her tools and was ready to start.

Let me highlight a few products she used that I really liked :

The base

The Hydra Beauty Micro Serum and the Hydra Beauty Micro Gel Eyes

Both of these products include camellia (Chanel’s icon) micro-droplets and deliver 24 hours of continuous hydration, leaving skin deeply replenished, smooth and glowing with youth. I ENJOYED the fresh feeling even though I did not have the impression of a wet skin.

The skin

Les Beiges Healthy Glow Luminous Colour

On top of the foundation that the make-up artist used – which had a very natural effect -, this powder created a radiant luminosity. I really liked its powder-cream texture. It delivers a subtle, natural tan, while discreetly brightening the skin.

Jardin De Chanel Blush Camélia Rosé

I always like to add a romantic touch of blush on my skin. This one is a duo of pinks, one delicate and one more intense, so you can play with both depending on what you want. I particularly like camellia motif of the powder box.

The eyes

Longwear powder eye shadows

The combination of 3 colours (#22 visone, #40 gris anthracite, #36 désert rouge) and textures (matte, satiné and metallic) matched perfectly together. Usually, I use creamy eye shadows because I don’t like the dry feeling of some powders but this one was very soft, almost creamy.

Long lasting eye-liner

I was very surprised with the red color the artists chose yet I loved it ! It gave my make up the sophisticated touche I was looking for.

The Lips

Rouge coco gloss

I love the look a gloss gives but I hate the sticky feeling, yet this one was not ! How nice ! It definately made me a fan of the Chanel glosses !

From flawless and luminous complexion, to the look and the lips, she identified exactly the make-up that I like : natural with a touch of sophistication !

I left the shop in the afternoon, went for a party and kept the make-up perfect all night long ! I would have like to have never washed my face and to wake up like that every morning !

For this service, I would have paid 100 euros for a 90 minutes tailor-made make-up which is very reasonnable for being beautiful not only for a a few hours but on a long-term basis. Once you would have done this experience with a professional artist, you will exactly know what suits you best and never do the same mistakes. It will teach you how to make-up, what products are made for you and how to apply them.

LADIES’ TIP

Not a lot know but here is a good tip for you ladies. If you get a treatment or buy a certain amount of products, you can get a free make-up at the Chanel shop in Nice! It can be the perfect gift for your mother, sister or bestfriend as you can buy only a treatment and combine it with a (non-paid) make-up session by a professional artist.
