La Voile d’Or: an idyllic “Bistronomic” experience in a 5-star hotel of Saint-Jean-Cap-Ferrat

Lately, I have been craving for some French food in a restaurant offering a sea view. Luckily, I was invited to try La Voile d’Or restaurant which is located in the 5 star hotel of the same name.

La Voile d’Or is a fantastic restaurant that’s definitely worth a visit set with a view on the beautiful port of Saint Jean Cap Ferrat. Anchored in the port of Saint-Jean-Cap-Ferrat and midway between Nice and Monaco, La Voile d’Or is surrounded by the sea on a beautiful peninsula.

Once I had read a little bit about La Voile d’Or restaurant, I was very happy to discover that the Chef’s style was “bistronomique”. Wondering what it means? It is a mix between Bistrot and Gastronomic cuisine made of the finest fresh products. That’s what Georges Pelissier, Chef of La Voile d’Or since many years, proposes to its guests.

Once the car was parked, I walked towards the doors of the hotel and instantly thought that I would love to stay there for more than dinner. Indeed, the hotel looks stunning. I entered and passed through the lobby which is very luxurious, in a true French style. The waitress welcomed my dining companion and I. She was very friendly and informative during the all dinner. She did not hesitate to adapt the menu for my special tastes which was very nice.

Once sat, I decided to go for the “Saveurs du Marché” (market flavors) menu and I have to say that a few weeks after, I am still stunned from the delicious mushroom pie, the red mullet with seasonal vegetables and pastas and the so tasty chocolate mousse.

The amazing variety of flavours, the view on the Mediterranean sea and the very nice service makes your dining experience a real pleasure. Please put this restaurant on your list because it will not disappoint.
