I love living in Monaco for several reasons. One of them is that we are close from Provence. There are so many villages to discover as well as wonderful hotels and establishments. I was recently invited to spend the day to one of the most famous in the area: Terre Blanche. You probably saw my Instagram stories when I was there but I really wanted to share with you my impressions about this heaven on earth.
Located in the charming village of Tourrettes, Terre Blanche is only 45 minutes away from Nice Côte d’Azur International Airport. Previously managed by Four Seasons, the five star property consists of 115 independent suites and villas; 4 restaurants including the Michelin-starred «Le Faventia»; an infinity pool overlooking the estate; a two storey luxury spa with an indoor pool and an outdoor vitality pool; tennis courts; 2 x 18 hole championship golf courses; and a Kid’s Club (suitable for ages 2 – 12) with a terrace and private children’s pool.
Even if I already knew Terre Blanche from family lunches, I was very excited to spend the day there. Once at the door of the property, I was already amazed. No wonders, even if short, it was going to be a luxury day getaway. As my sister lives close to the hotel, I decided to share with her this wonderful moment.
We decided to start with the swimming pool and what a beautiful view from there! The infinity pool is a spectacle in itself commanding panoramic views over the breathtaking countryside of southern France. All day long, the staff took great care of us, asking if we needed anything particular and brining us fresh bottles of water. The pool area also enjoys a Jacuzzi and cocktail bar, as well as the nearby Le Tousco Grill. This is where we had lunch. Offering a buffet style dining concept, both my sister and I went for fish. Beautifully presented and perfectly cooked and flavored with Provencal herbs, it was delicious.
This lovely afternoon continued as nicely as it started with a golf buggy ride to the spa, also known as one of ‘The Leading Spas of The World’. The Spa does not only offer a variety of body and facial treatments but also personal fitness trainers, aqua fitness, aquabiking, yoga and pilates. Before going to stunning spa pool, my sister and I went to the perfectly isolated sauna, the steam room and the laconium which is great to relax the muscles, especially after sport sessions. After enjoying the benefits of each room, we plunged in the spacious indoor swimming pool – warmed at a comfortable 28° C – and relaxed at its best to the invigorating water jets and air beds. What else?
We then went back to the pool, crossing a garden of aromatic herbs and local flowers. Thanks to the numerous green spaces surrounding the different areas of the 5-star hotel, I never felt like in a hotel in but more like in a private villa with a vast garden.
This day escape was a real pleasure and as you may have guess, I could have stayed there a week. Terre Blanche is definitely a great place to go for a weekend or even a day.
The good news is that even though Terre Blanche is pure luxury the prices of the day packages are reasonable and everyone can chose to experience what they like the most between golf, spa, pool and restaurant.
From 45€ for a full day access to the Albatros Golf Center with unlimited practice balls to the “Golf and Spa” including practice, green fee, access to the spa and a 60-minute massage for 195€/270€ depending on the date or my favorite offer “Spa Day Escape” including access to the spa, a 60-minute massage and lunch at Carbousiers Restaurant or at the Infusion for 175€ per person.
In July and August, Terre Blanche also proposes an offer including access to the swimming pool, cabana with a panoramic view and bath towel, main course and dessert at the Tousco for 89€.
Our wonderful host praised the qualities of the 99€ Sprunch including brunch and half of a day at the spa, so I am looking forward to trying in when it opens again on September 24th.
