« A Passionate Encounter Between Wine and Provencal Lifestyle »
As you guys already know, I absolutely adore Provence – so much that I have almost visited the all Provence in 2 years and a half ago, since I have moved in the South of France and more specifically in Monaco. The warm climate, glittering seas, sophisticated cities and untamed, mountainous countryside is unlike anywhere else I’ve been in the world.
The landscape, the people, and that unique sunny vibe have stolen my heart.
I’d heard about the ultra-luxe heaven that is the Château de Berne and decided that it is exactly the kind of place that can take a Provence getaway to the next level.
Here’s my experience staying at the Château de Berne Hôtel & Spa Relais & Châteaux!
The Hotel
A member of the prestigious Relais & Châteaux network, Château de Berne is an astonishing destination to relax in the heart of wine-growing Provence. It is a refined and charming establishment, promoting luxury without pretension.

First, your luggages will be taken off of your hands as soon as you get out of your car to be carried to your room. Then, you will bypass the standard old check-in process and you’ll be taken to your room. But the world-class service doesn’t stop there.
There are thoughtful little freebies and treats all day long, including an outdoor over – flowing pool with fabulous views over the vines, sports ground, tennis court, boules court, table tennis, fitness room, Spa with indoor upstream pool, sauna, steam room, jacuzzis and a relaxation area. The hotel is also bordered by many footpaths and mountain bike trails (mountains bikes are available for hire in summer) crossing varied landscapes of woods, vines and landscaped gardens. Electric bicycles are also available for an easy and relaxing tour of the local villages and country lanes.
The rooms
Château de Berne Hotel & Spa has several accommodation types, and each is more stunning than the last. You can go for a classic, deluxe, deluxe premium, large or family room.
Each of the 27 rooms and suites is subtly decorated in ‘chic country’ style. Cosy and flooded with natural light, they offer fabulous and restful views over the vines, ancient Cellar and Château.
Of course your room comes with all of the extra little perks like lush bathrobes and cozy slippers that remind you that you’re in a first-class hotel. The spa-inspired en suite bathroom will make you never want to leave your home away from home.
The breakfast
For laidback French breakfast, there’s no better pick than the Château de Berne. With all of the ingredients you could imagine and more, the breakfast is not only as fresh as it gets but will also feed you for the day.

But, of course, you don’t have to leave your room to world-class breakfast. Ask the hotel to make you a breakfast of your choice and serve it directly in your room.
If you’re a foodie, be sure to ask about the private cooking lessons at the cooking school so you can go home and make mouthwatering meals!
In an old-fashioned kitchen, worthy of the finest mansion houses, complete with varnished tiles, sparkling copper pans, polished wood and cool stone you will earn all about the alchemy and techniques of gastronomic cuisine and have fun turning local produce into dishes overflowing with flavors and poetry.
